Summary of Duties

This position supports activities and events for the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) program, within the Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence (CDME); assists in coordination of program workshops, trainings, and events; provides administrative and program assistance to MEP program leadership; works closely with the MEP Marketing and Outreach Coordinator; coordinates event details, calendar and facility scheduling; acts as MEP events point of contact for program leaders, CDME staff and students, and visitors; initiates financial functions including e-Requests, procurement card management, travel and reimbursements for event implementation, and invited guests and program leaders; assists in the creation and circulation of program advertisements and marketing materials; assists in maintenance and editing to program website content and events calendar; works closely with CDME Fiscal Associate, Engineering Research Operations Business Manager, and College Business Operations Center to submit complete and accurate purchasing, travel, and reimbursement requests.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field or an equivalent combination of education and experience; prior event and or program assistance/coordination experience; excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent organizational skills; ability to work independently within a team setting to accomplish assigned tasks.

Desired Qualifications

Experience in event coordination at a University setting or industry area is highly desirable; preparation and design of publications; experience in the organization of volunteers and program materials; knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic web design.

Target Salary $16.83 - $18.75 Hourly
