Summary of Duties

Serves as Fiscal Officer for University Advancement with main focus on ensuring fiscal compliance for expenditures in the department; responsible for the interpretation and implementation of University, federal and departmental policies and procedures for all activities including purchases, travel, reimbursements, p-card activities, deposits, general ledger, and earnings operations while ensuring adherence to internal financial controls. Serves as a central resource for all procurement and travel activity and information, communicates policy changes and updates to staff. Reconciles fiscal/personnel expenditures. The ideal candidate is expected to have excellent written and verbal communication skills; be proficient in MS office products, especially Excel; and exhibit the behaviors associated with the Office of Advancement’s core competencies: Leadership, Continuous Improvement, Teamwork and Collaboration, and Communication/Interpersonal Effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; three years of financial management experience.

Desired Qualifications

Extensive knowledge of University’s financial systems and policies, including PeopleSoft; presentation skills; experience in a highly matrixed environment.

Target Salary $50,000.00 - $56,000.00 Annually
