Summary of Duties

The Ohio State University, one of the nation’s leading public universities, is seeking applicants for the position of Training and Development Specialist in the Financial Training department, in the Office of the Controller. Financial Training offers relevant training regarding the university’s financial policies, procedures and systems for employees with fiscal responsibilities. The incumbent employs instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and project management techniques to develop and deliver instructor-led learning to support the Financial Training department (FTD). Analyzes and evaluates learning activities and user tests; operates technology tools and software to integrate knowledge and learning experiences with software tools to improve the business performance (e.g., Captivate, Articulate, Dreamweaver, cascading style sheets, Flash, Photoshop, Snag-It) of fiscal professionals throughout campus.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Workforce Development, Education, Training & Development, or Human Resources, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; research and presentations associated with Bachelor’s Degree or two years of experience working with subject matter experts, instructors, and learners to set up, research, design, develop, deliver and evaluate training, labs, and/or assessments; two years of experience facilitating, instructing, or co-instructing/facilitating workshops, labs, or assessments.

Desired Qualifications

One year experience working with learning management system(s) to schedule, register, and evaluate training.

Target Salary $47,500.00 - $56,000.00 Annually
