Summary of Duties

Under the guidance of the Assistant to the Chair, the Administrative Coordinator supports the Associate Chair and the Administration of the Department of Teaching and Learning (T&L). This position provides administrative support to faculty, staff, students, and committees within T&L and prepares and organizes committee meetings to include but is not limited to, agenda, schedule, room, equipment and set-up, handouts, communications, meals (as needed), and follow-up to assure completeness and readiness. The incumbent works with the Promotion and Tenure Committee Chair to facilitate and coordinate the Promotion and Tenure (P&T) process within the Department of Teaching and Learning. As a part of this process, this position maintains and communicates the P&T timeline, milestones, and deadlines. Additionally, the Administrative Coordinator maintains all department email lists and provides communications as requested. The position assists and provides support to the department for special events, reports, and projects; this includes supporting Research in View and Vida by managing entry and updates for all T&L faculty. The Administrative Coordinator also assists the Assistant to the Chair in the preparation of Special Research Assignment (SRA) and Faculty Professional Leave (FPL) requests and completes other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Two years of experience with process and policy creation and implementation; three years of experience in meeting and event planning and coordination experience; two years of experience working with eRequest system; one year working with the HRA system.
